There is a story the mainstream media has been telling for thirty years. It goes like this. Religion is dying. Faith is for the uneducated. The Church is on the wrong side of history. Young people are leaving and they are never coming back. God is fading and progress is winning and anyone who still believes is simply waiting to be left behind.
I want to talk about the fruits of that story.
Church attendance dropped in the decades when media power was at its strongest. Faith was mocked in Hollywood, ignored in newsrooms, and treated as an embarrassment in universities. Children grew up being told that science had replaced God and that morality was whatever you decided it was. An entire generation was handed a world without foundations and told that was freedom.
And then something happened that the media did not predict and cannot explain. Revival. Not a small one. Tens of thousands of young people gathering in fields and arenas to worship. College campuses seeing prayer movements that nobody organised and nobody funded. Men in particular, men who were told the Church had nothing for them, coming back in numbers that nobody saw coming. The fastest growing religious identity in America right now is not atheism. It is Christianity.
The media does not cover this. And when they do, they cover it with suspicion. They look for the angle that makes it seem dangerous or extreme or politically motivated. Because a people who fear God do not fear CNN. And a people who do not fear CNN are very hard to control.
Scripture told us this would happen. In the book of Acts, the authorities did everything they could to stop the spread of the Gospel. They arrested the apostles. They threatened them. They beat them. And the Word of God continued to spread and grow. Because the Gospel does not need the permission of powerful institutions to move. It never has.
The media told you faith was dying. They were wrong about the economy. They were wrong about the election. They were wrong about Donald Trump. And they are wrong about this.
God is not fading. He is not on the wrong side of history. History belongs to Him. Every empire that has ever declared victory over faith is now in a museum. The Church is still here.
And it is not finished yet.
