Dear friend,

I want to begin this week by putting two men side by side.

Not to be cruel to either of them. I pray for both. But Jesus gave us a simple way to know a man, and I think it is time we used it.

In Luke chapter 6 verse 44, He said this.

Each tree is recognized by its own fruit.

Not by its leaves. Not by how tall it stands. Not by what people say about it. By its fruit.

So let us look at the fruit.

On faith.

One man, speaking at a private fundraiser in 2008, said that struggling Americans get bitter and cling to guns or religion.

The other man stood at a Christian university in 2017 and said this. In America, we do not worship government. We worship God.

On the Church.

One man’s administration took the Little Sisters of the Poor to court. Catholic nuns who care for the dying poor. They were told to provide birth control coverage against their faith, and they had to fight it for years.

The other man’s administration gave them the protection they asked for. And the Supreme Court upheld it.

On life.

One man appointed two justices to the Supreme Court.

The other man appointed three. And in 2022, those three helped return the question of abortion to the people. There are children alive today because of it.

On how they were treated.

One man left office to applause. Magazine covers. A warm farewell from almost every newspaper in the country.

The other man was investigated for years. Impeached twice. Charged in four separate cases. And shot at in a field in Pennsylvania.

Read those side by side, and ask yourself something.

If the fruit of the second man is better for faith, for the Church, for the unborn, and for Israel, why was he the one they tried to destroy?

That question is not new. It is one of the oldest questions in the Bible.

Joseph’s brothers did not hate him because he did wrong. They hated him because of what God was doing through him. Saul did not hunt David because David failed. He hunted him because David was chosen. The religious leaders did not crucify Jesus for His sins. He had none. They crucified Him because the crowds were following Him and they were losing their power.

The fruit was good. That is exactly why they came after the tree.

I wrote that pattern down in full in They Tried To Stop Him: What The Bible Says About Donald Trump. From Joseph to David to Daniel to Jesus, the men who bore the most fruit were the ones most fiercely opposed. And every time, the opposition failed.

You can find the guide by clicking on the image below:

I am not telling you the second man is perfect. He is not. No tree is.

But Jesus did not tell us to look for perfect trees. He told us to look at the fruit.

You have seen the fruit. Trust what you saw.

Now I would like to ask you something.

Many of you have written to tell me how much the guides have helped you. I want my next one to be exactly what you need. So I would like you to choose.

I am writing my next guide for you. Which would help you most?

Just click the one that speaks to you.

God bless you, friend. Have a good week.

With you in prayer always,
Father Thomas

This week I want you to do three things:

One. Read Luke chapter 6 verses 43 through 45 this week. Then ask yourself honestly what fruit your own life is bearing right now, in your home, your church, and your family.

Two. Vote in the poll above. It takes one click, and it will help shape what I write for you next.

Three. Read They Tried To Stop Him this week, using the image or link above. You will see why good fruit has always drawn the fiercest opposition.

One last thing.

If this letter meant something to you, please forward it to two people you love. A friend from church. A brother or sister. Someone who feels as alone in these times as you sometimes do.

Many of you found these letters because someone shared them with you. Thank you for doing the same.
